Certified Residential Specialist (CRS); Perhaps the most coveted designation a Realtor can receive, the CRS designation has been awarded to fewer than 1/16th of all Realtors nationwide. Current requirements to become a CRS include a minimum 100 hours class time and at least 75 completed real estate transactions. The 6 percent of realtors who have this certification account for more than 25 percent of all real estate transactions. Put an experienced Realtor to work for you.

Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI); The GRI designation is awarded to approximately 30 percent of Realtors nationwide. There are a total of twelve classes involving more than 100 hours of education required to attain this designation.

Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR); The ABR designation is currently held by approximately 2 percent of all practicing Realtors. Designation requirements include a minimum of 5 buyer-agent transactions, 40 hours of class time and a final exam.

Colorado Registered Appraiser; Fewer than 1 percent of all Realtors are also licensed appraisers. Although not actively engaged in appraising properties for lenders, I have a thorough understanding of value that all lenders require and buyers & sellers alike need to know about prior to any real estate transaction. Educational requirements include 80 hours of education, hands-on appraisal work and a final state exam.

Colorado Licensed Real Estate Broker; Minimum 80 hours classroom time, final state exam and on-going additional educational requirements. I was licensed in Colorado in 1987 and first worked for Telluride Properties as a sales agent.

Owner / Broker Associate of Breckenridge Associates Real Estate, LLC; My company is a partnership of 16 agents, each of whom is an equal partner in the business. Breckenridge Associates is the most successful single office in Summit and Park counties, both in dollar volume and number of transactions. I was the most productive broker within our office for the 2003 calendar year, achieving over 18 million in sales and over 60 transaction sides.

U.S. Small Business Administration Young Entrepreneur of the Year; Awarded to one person in each state every year, the SBA presented me with this award in 1993 for my involvement in the local commercial real estate market.

Class Instructor for the Summit Housing Authority; Each month the Summit Housing Authority offers a free, first-time home buyers class which I have volunteered to instruct on many occasions. My portion of the class involves teaching the students how the MLS system works, contract negotiations, legal requirements, disclosure rules, brokerage relationships, down-payment assistance options and more. I truly enjoy teaching the class and highly recommend the use of the Summit Housing Authority for those just starting.

Personal Notes; Summit County resident since 1990 / Married with two children / Rotary Club member / past captain Breckenridge Men's 4.0 Tennis Team, Inter-Mountain League. Other activities include alpine, telemark and nordic skiing, golfing, ice hockey, water-skiing, hiking, mountain biking and camping.
